Land Acknowledgement
I would like to acknowledge that my potential work and this campaign will take place on the University of Saskatchewan’s Saskatoon Campus located on Treaty 6 land, the traditional homeland of the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene and Dakota people. I would also like to acknowledge that through remote learning I will be representing students on other Treaty territory around the country as well. I recognize that my work will be built on a colonial and privileged settler legacy, and I am wholeheartedly committed to furthering the decolonization of the University of Saskatchewan’s Students’ Union, and the University.

Sexual Assault Awareness Training
I will advocate for our University to institute mandatory sexual assault awareness training each academic year for new and returning students.
Affordability for Students
The primary focus of my government advocacy work will be advocating for policy proposals to all levels of government to ease the cost of schooling and overall cost of living for students.
Hold USASK accountable to their Indigenization Goals
If elected I will use my position to hold the University accountable to their indigenization goals while at the same time ensuring that this work is in partnership and informed by Indigenous peoples.
Ensure Good and Modern Governance of the USSU
I will review all current Bylaws and Policies of the USSU to ensure that our union works better for all. Many policies and sections within the bylaw lack specificity and are oddly ambiguous when they should not be. A lot of work needs to be done to ensure the continued good and transparent governance of our students’ union.
Work to Better Connect With Students
Just like most students’ unions around the country we have problems with reaching students. I promise to work tirelessly to reach out to students and ensure our union truly reflects and works for them.
Empower Student Leaders
USASK has hundreds of dedicated volunteer student leaders who are committed to their roles. I will use the resources of the USSU and my position to support the amazing student leaders around our campus.
